Birth Doula Services

As your birth doula, my role is to be a steady, peaceful presence — offering knowledge, encouragement, and reassurance before, during, and after your baby’s birth. I’ll walk alongside both you and your partner, helping you feel confident in your choices, answering questions, and supporting you through any concerns. I’ll also help you navigate the NHS system so you can make the most of the care available, while always ensuring your voice is heard.

In our antenatal sessions, we’ll explore all the options open to you so that you feel informed, prepared, and clear about your choices. I’ll never tell you what you should do — instead, I’ll provide up-to-date, evidence-based information so you feel confident in making the decisions that are right for you. Whatever route your birth takes — at home, in a midwifery unit, or in hospital — I’ll fully respect and support your wishes.

My role is to listen deeply, offer emotional and practical support, and create a safe, calm space for both you and your partner. I’ll work collaboratively with your medical team, making sure you feel truly supported every step of the way.

I can also share practical comfort measures, including hypnobirthing techniques, massage, breathing, relaxation, biomechanics, and positioning to encourage an active, more comfortable labour. I’ll support your partner too, helping them feel confident and involved.

Above all, I’ll be your advocate — protecting your birth preferences, your privacy, and your sense of calm.

My aim is to help you feel safe, respected, and empowered, so that your birth experience is as positive, supported, and uninterrupted as possible.

Birth doula

My birth doula package includes:

Full back-up support

I would exclusively with my doula partner Leti. We will explain how we work during your initial, no obligation, interview.

Initial Interview - usually via zoom (in person if preferred)

An initial, free, no-obligation meeting to get to know each other and see if we would be a good fit and have good chemistry. I'll give you a bit of  background and how I came to become a doula. Also the type of doula I am, we come in many flavours!! I'll also cover in detail what is covered in the birth package.

Coffee chat - usually via zoom (in person if preferred)

A time for us to get to know each other as people rather than pregnant person and doula!! Usually about 45 minutes to an hour. during this chat we will schedule your antenatal sessions and discuss any burning questions you have.

Two antenatal sessions.

Our antenatal sessions aren’t rushed or bound by the clock — while they usually last around three hours, the focus is on giving you the space and time you need. These sessions are as much about building a strong, trusting relationship as they are about sharing knowledge, so you feel comfortable and confident with me by your side.

There’s a saying: “you don’t know what you don’t know.” With so many books, blogs, and opinions out there, it can feel overwhelming trying to piece it all together. These sessions cut through that noise. They’re an individual, tailored experience, designed around what you already know, what feels unclear, and what you’d like more information on.

Unlike most antenatal education courses, this isn’t a set curriculum. It’s a comprehensive, personalised approach that goes far deeper — combining evidence-based information with practical tools, and space to explore your own questions, wishes, and concerns. Together we’ll shape your birth preferences to share with your healthcare team, while also preparing you emotionally and practically for the experience ahead.

Everything I share is based on evidence and real case studies — not just opinions — so you can feel confident in the knowledge you’re building. My aim is for you to walk away feeling fully informed, supported, and reassured as you move towards birth.

Zoom/WhatsApp/phone support

As soon as our contract is signed, you’ll have me in your pocket. We’ll set up a WhatsApp group straight away with you, your partner, me, and Leti (your back-up doula). That way you’ve always got both of us on hand — so if one of us is busy, the other can usually step in. You can use the group as much or as little as you like, but most people find it especially useful before and after midwife appointments, when questions and “what ifs” often pop up.

As your birth gets closer, we’ll also have a few Zoom coffee chats. These are relaxed check-ins where we can chat through anything new, and go over the really helpful stuff from your antenatal sessions — like gentle exercises to get your baby into a great position for birth, what to pack in your hospital bag, and when to give me a call once labour begins.

It’s all about making sure you feel supported, reminded, and reassured that one of us is always here for you.

Birth

  • Myself and my doula partner Leti, your back-up doula, will be on call for you from 10 days before your EDD until your baby arrives. Though if your baby decides to make an earlier appearance then of course I will do my absolute best to be with you.

  • I will support and encourage you and your partner throughout your labour, and whilst you settle in with your new baby. I won’t leave you until you have happily fed your baby and have comfortably settled and are happy for me to leave you to continue bonding with your new baby, unless otherwise requested by you.

  • If you wish to breastfeed I can help you to ensure your baby latches on easily and painlessly and show you different positions for breastfeeding comfortably and confidently.

Postnatal

  • I will visit you once postnatally at your home. This is when you can debrief your birth (as much or as little as you feel you want to) and we can go over any questions you may have. I signpost you if you need additional help with feeding, especially if you baby has suspected tongue tie.

  • You will also be able to contact me during your postnatal period by telephone or email for six weeks after your baby has arrived with any questions etc you may have.

Unlimited phone and email support throughout your pregnancy and six weeks+ postpartum. You will receive prompt responses to any queries you may have and links to useful information about a whole host of relevant topics. WhatsApp works really well.

Giving birth is one of the most awe-inspiring, challenging and transformative experiences of your life.

It’s not just about welcoming your baby, it’s about discovering your own strength and confidence in the process.

My philosophy is simple:

Your birth. Your choices. Your journey.

Everything I do centres around you, your partner and your baby, helping you feel informed, supported and empowered to create a birth experience that is positive, joyful and truly your own

I am also a co-founder of The Doula Hub, a very select group of doulas who work together to ensure you are fully covered. As well as having me as your Primary Doula you will have Leti, my doula partner, on standby just in case in the very unlikely event that something happens to me and I can not attend your birth. Full profiles and details of how we work can be found here or on our website
