For twenty years I wore the “corporate hat” — spreadsheets, meetings, deadlines… the works. At the same time, I was raising my three brilliant boys: Cameron (the tallest and hairiest), Charlie, and Freddy. Life was full, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing — that little tug towards something more meaningful. Everyone says find a job you love and it won't feel like work - so true!!

Turns out, that “something” was babies and and the wonderful, messy, magical world of birth.

One day, a friend said, “You should be a doula.” Cue the lightbulb moment. Suddenly everything clicked.
Fast forward a little and I’d trained with Kicki Hansard at the BirthBliss Academy, picked up my Hypnobirthing Diploma with KGHypnobirthing (aka the gold standard), and joined Doula UK. I’ve never looked back.

I’ve had three very different births of my own — a premature whirlwind at 29+5, a calm hypnobirth surprise, and a medically led induction. Those experiences fuel my passion for making sure families feel informed, calm, and in control — however their story unfolds.

My past life in the corporate jungle taught me some surprisingly handy doula skills: keeping cool under pressure, speaking up clearly in stressful situations, and getting along with all kinds of personalities (even consultants who make boardroom bosses look cuddly). Add in a dash of humour, and you’ve got me: a doula who brings calm, confidence, and the occasional laugh when it’s needed most.

Outside of births, you’ll usually find me:
-
walking by the sea,
-
curled up with a box set,
-
skiing down a mountain,
-
or learning to sail (Day Skipper licence ✔).

Oh, and I recently adopted a cheeky puppy from Cyprus who thinks he runs the house. Spoiler: he kind of does.
